5 Great Spring Baby Events for New Moms in Oklahoma City

Posted by Charis Elisabeth

Becoming a new parent is a beautiful (and a bit overwhelming) season of life. Whether you’re looking for a place to connect with other moms, get support as you adjust to life with a new baby, or just get out of the house for a bit—Oklahoma City has some great options designed just for new parents.

Here are a few spring baby events for new parents in OKC that I highly recommend checking out.

1. New Mom School Classes

New Mom School OKC offers in-person support groups and education for moms starting in the fourth trimester. These 8 week small-group classes are designed to help you feel seen and supported as you navigate the newborn stage and beyond. It’s the perfect mix of mom-friends, expert insight, and real talk. I have gotten to pop in on a few to do mommy and me photos and am so impressed with the connections I see being made and the safe place it is for new moms.

2. Babies at the Museum: Trails & Textures

Held monthly at the Oklahoma Contemporary Arts Center, this free program invites babies (ages 0–24 months) and their caregivers to explore art, textures, and play in a baby-friendly, sensory-rich environment. A great event especially for dads to also be able to get involved. Events are held on the second Saturday of each month from 9–10:30 am. Registration is required.

3. Classes for New Parents

Family Expectations is a free resource that supports new and expecting parents with workshops focused on communication, co-parenting, and job readiness. You’ll get access to helpful tools, guidance, and even incentives as you work through their classes. Bonus: free childcare and meals during sessions!

Parent Promise offers free, voluntary home-based parenting support to help you feel confident and prepared. Through their programs, families receive one-on-one guidance, child development activities, and emotional support tailored to their needs. You can start or stop services at any time.

4. Nurture Fest on June 8, 2025

Nurture Fest is an annual celebration of breastfeeding and motherhood in OKC. Think mini photo sessions, treats, giveaways, and meaningful connection with other local moms and women-owned businesses. Hosted by yours truly, it’s one of the sweetest events of the year (and space fills quickly!).

5. Bump Fest – June 21, 2025

Bump Fest is a celebration of pregnancy and early parenthood, with vendors, resources, and giveaways for new and expecting moms. It’s a fun event to check out if you’re prepping for baby or just had one! From car seat checks, to talks by local experts and even a clothing swap you’ll find lots of ideas and support for your new parent journey.
