Your home holds the memories of childhood – doing a lifestyle session in your own home allows the place setting and activities to be captured that will be keepsakes for years to come.
Getting to do sessions in your home is one of my very favorite things. I get to make beautiful art for your family that is unique just to you. This is art that connects your family to your story, makes history through showcasing your current life. Photos that show how beautiful your ordinary life is! Photos that describe who you are. The stuff that shows the memories you are making each day. The little annoying things that one day you will miss and the beautiful big things that you know you want to remember.
“Yeah, looks cool but let me tell you…(insert “my home isn’t pretty, or I would get stressed”) comment here. I understand.
But let me tell you a little secret – your home doesn’t have to be super fancy or super nice or super awesome. Your home is you!

The S Family Lifestyle Session
Last fall I had so much fun capturing Elizabeth and her family. Elizabeth runs a great blog and instagram account with all things for thriving in motherhood and homeschooling – go check out her work and see the resources and advice she has for moms and families.She also is writing her first middle grade devotional which I can’t wait to read.
Getting to step into their home for a session was so much fun. From reading to doing a quick fall craft (seriously follow her for lots of great ideas!) and then finishing with a dance party and doughnuts, I had so much fun stepping into their lives for a few hours.
Doing an activity together is something I always encourage families during sessions in home – they choose to read together, eat their special Saturday doughnuts. We spent time in the rooms that mean alot to them and doing things their kids love to do.
