Fall Fun: Best Oklahoma City Pumpkin patches

Posted by Charis Elisabeth

Fall in Oklahoma City means cooler mornings, cozy clothes, and one of our favorite traditions—pumpkin patches! Whether you’re hauling a wagon through the patch, feeding animals at the petting zoo, or just soaking up those golden fall vibes, there’s something about these spots that brings families together.

We always take aside a Saturday to visit our favorite local one, take advantage of our Myriad membership to pop into Pumpkinville a few times and join friends at one or two.

Here are five of our favorite Oklahoma City pumpkin patches slash fall festivals to visit this fall along with a few of my mom tips sprinkled in.

Oklahoma City Pumpkin Patch
Orr Family Farm

Location: South OKC / Visit Their Website

This is the ultimate fall fun destination for little kids, big kids and kids at heart. Besides a giant pumpkin patch, Orr Family Farm has pony rides, a train, pedal cars, corn maze, hayrides, and a carousel. They go all out! Not only a ton of activities they also have some of the favorite fall foods. Keep an eye on their website for ticket sales and don’t forget extra cash for yummy treats!

Mom Tip: Weekdays are calmer if your schedule allows. Bring a stroller or wagon for tired legs.

Parkhurst Pumpkin Patch

Location: Arcadia / Visit Their Website

Parkhurst is perfect for families who want a more relaxed, rustic vibe. You’ll find a charming pumpkin patch, hayrides, swings, zip lines, bounce houses, animals, and lots of space to roam. It’s a great mix of activities and wide-open play. This is one of our family favorites and we usually spend several hours when we go. On weekends you can pay extra for face painting. Pony Rides are also extra. Bring a few dollars for feeding animals. Every one gets a free mini pumpkin as they leave.

Mom Tip: It’s less commercial than some of the bigger patches, which can be a huge win for toddlers who don’t like crowds. It does get quite dusty and lots to play in so be prepared with water and wipes.

Myriad Gardens Pumpkinville Festival

Location: Downtown OKC / Visit their website

Open October 3-26, 2025

Every year we eagerly look forward to seeing the amazing displays at Pumpkinville. Theme artwork with all things falls make this so much fun! It is an adorable festival in the heart of downtown, with themed displays, thousands of pumpkins, crafts, and photo ops galore. If you have a gardens membership entry is free and seriously totally worth the membership!

Mom Tip: This one is stroller-friendly and great for younger kiddos who may not want to commit to a full patch day. We try to visit it a few times.

Chester’s Party Barn & Farm

Location: Piedmont / Website Here

Open Sept. 25 – Nov. 2, 2025

If you’re up for a short drive, Chester’s has SO much packed into one visit—pony rides, hay maze, pumpkin patch, zip line, petting zoo, and more. It’s one of the lower costs and you can grab tickets for 1/2 off before September 21.

Mom Tip: Wear closed-toe shoes—it can get dusty or muddy depending on the weather. Bring a stroller and water!

Walnut Woods Pumpkin Patch

Location: Edmond / Website Here

This hidden gem in Edmond has a smaller, cozier feel and is a hit with local families looking for something more low-key. You’ll find pumpkins, games, hayrides, animals, and cute photo spots without the chaos of bigger farms. Bring extra $$ for the horse rides.

Mom Tip: It’s a great choice if you want something simple and sweet—easy parking, easy in and out.

And a few pumpkin patch photo tips…

Pumpkin patch visits are full of color, connection, and pure kid joy—which makes them a perfect spot for some relaxed family photos. Clean your phone lens before taking photos. Take a few at difference distances. Take overhead photos.
