Nothing quite excites me as when a family asks me to come back to photograph their family. It’s especially special to be asked for a time of celebrating – a new baby! The wonder, the curiosity, the changes all to remembered. As a lifestyle photographer I serve many families with newborn photography Edmond OK and these sweet connected sessions are a delight.

I got to photograph this sweet family last year with an in home holiday session which are right up there in my favorite family photo sessions.

When I arrived for this newborn photoshoot big brother was still napping so we started with little brother so we were able to give mom and dad a focused time on their new little one. Then once the toddler brother woke up we could add him in. It took him a bit to warm up but that is quite fine. Newborn sessions are focused on connection rather than performance so I just let the little ones take their time and settled in.

I always encourage parents to keep relaxed and not pressure their little ones. Babies and toddlers can feel that pressure so much so for the best session, just sit back and relax. (one of the hardest things ever to do I know! but it truly brings out the best!)
