I’m not sure there’s anything that makes me more excited than when a family chooses an at-home photo session. There’s just something so special about photography sessions done in a family’s home — the way they capture real life, the little moments, and the love that makes a house a home. How you can go from snuggles on the couch to dancing around the living room and making cookies, all in one setting. For this recent at home OKC family photography session it was also about more than just pictures.

This sweet family of four—Mom, Dad, and their two toddler daughters—had a big challenge on the horizon and wanted to capture this season before Dad underwent surgery to remove cancer. I was honored to give them photos that celebrate their family and allow them to pause and hold onto these moments during the challenging days ahead.

It reminded me how these photos aren’t just pictures; they’re reminders of everything worth fighting for.
