I’m so excited to share this amazing in home newborn session in OKC. As a Newborn Photographer, showing up for an at home newborn photo session is sort of like discovering a treasure chest. When I arrive I look for the best spots of light in your home and sometimes they can be found in surprising places. We then have fun quickly arranging furniture and fixtures to make for a comfortable photo shoot that optimizes your homes natural light. The light, your sweet newborn baby, and your family’s love are what makes your newborn photos shine!
I got the privilege of working with this sweet family as they documented the last few months before their second child arrived. From their maternity photo session on a perfect early fall evening at Will Rogers Botanical Gardens (a favorite family spot for them that holds many memories) to their precious in home newborn session to welcome baby R, it was a delight to work with them.
Sweet big sister was unsure when we first met but I have a few magic tricks up my way as well as giving toddlers lots of space and time. Parents, just always know that walking gently alongside your little ones. Don’t force them into smiling or doing things – this often ends in tears and absolutely not doing anything.
I fear I must warn parents before sessions with their kids that they might hear some horrific singing (Baby Shark or Wheels on the Bus are sure tools for many a toddler!). Whether it’s playing on the floor, stopping to read a book or some games for your littles to play with Daddy and Mommy, I love the challenge of finding a way into a toddler’s heart.
