Excited today to share this recent Edmond, OK Newborn Photography Session.
I loved getting to take photos of this little guy and his family. Newborn sessions that include siblings are always quite the adventure. Coming into a families home during this special time is an honor I don’t take lightly. When siblings are around then it’s always so sweet to see how they interact and love on the new little one in their lives. One area I work hard is to prep families before hand so that they can go into the session knowing what to expect and encouraging them to keep things as laid back as possible. Because we all do better when we are relaxed!
This mama shared some sweet words after the session – “Charis was so kind and intentional before, during & after our photo session. We were blown away with how thorough she was in providing extra resources on how to prepare for the session and then provided suggestions on how to print and use our gallery after. Super helpful.
Her calm presence made our session very enjoyable. It was as if we were just having family time. My husband continues to say how impressed he is with our photos. I believe it was because she took the pressure off, providing a laid-back atmosphere in our own home. I love hearing him say this because he is not one to prioritize professional photos.
Our kids felt very special when she provided a special gift for them as well!”
Preparations for a relaxing newborn session
Each of my family’s that choose to book a newborn session with me each receive personal guidance for what to wear, how to prep your home and more. I love to do phone calls if that will help relieve a mama’s concerns as well as little check ins along the way. I want each family to feel prepared and cared for throughout this whole process. It also now includes providing printed products with an easy way for family’s to order while I do the work. I know these early days are full of som many things and I want to make the newborn session be smooth and relaxed.
