Baby Wearing Resources in OKC

Rylee of Mirabel Maternity – Baby Wearing Educator and Rentable Library

“After the birth of my first child, I was diagnosed with cancer. During that tough time, baby wearing became essential for me it allowed me to stay close to my baby while managing my health. It was then that I noticed the lack of local resources for baby wearing. Most people were just picking a carrier, reading a pamphlet, and hoping it worked. I knew we could do better! So, I decided to take a 12-week course through the Center for Baby wearing Studies (CBWS) to learn the history, safety, and proper techniques of all types of carriers. I also had the opportunity to work with midwives, doulas, and the Happy Baby Carrier Company. Now, I offer a closet full of carriers for my clients to try out, practice with, and find what works best for their family. I love supporting families through those early stages and believe that baby wearing can make the transition to parenthood just a bit easier!”

Briana Lovelace is a local doula and midwife and also is a babywearing instructor who provides in person and online classes and support.
