2026 Nurture Fest Recap

As I put together this recap for the 4th annual Nurture Fest – a celebration for breastmilk mamas, I am just amazed and so grateful. Many years ago I had a vision of celebrating and encouraging breastfeeding mamas after a very hard breastfeeding journey of my own. With the helps of other local businesses I was so excited to plan the first Nurture Fest in 2023. From beginning with 30 mamas that year to now averaging 60 the last two years it has grown beyond what I could imagine!

Nurture Fest 2026 held some great upgrades including a private venue. We had outgrown the park rental and I wanted a space where moms could feel cared for and supported and a more intimate feel for the evening. Elms and Oaks was a fantastic location for what I wanted. It had gorgeous outdoor spaces as well as an air conditioned indoor space and a place to relax.

These incredible moms were able to join us to celebrate their breastfeeding journey with mini individual photo sessions and a large group photo. The event was supported by 12 amazing sponsors and community partners. Moms got to be treated to delicious mocktails (made by The Sipsy Schooner), incredible sourdough scones (thank you More Than A Mom Sourdough!!), gluten free and vegan cupcakes (Jo-Jo’s Bombs and Bakery), the signature decorated sugar cookies (Aunt B’s Sweet Treats) and other goodies.

Each year I hear from mamas about how much encouragement and celebration they receive from the evening. I have heard of mamas meeting up afterwards for playdates, mamas coming with their sisters in following years and getting connected to support to make their journey easier. As well as be able to thrive better in motherhood.

I’m incredibly grateful to the sponsors, volunteers, and photographers who helped make this evening possible. This event could not happen without it.
