As a mama of 3 and a family photographer for 5 years, I believe welcoming a new little one into your life is a time to celebrate. A time to treasure as part of your family’s story that is special, unique and YOURS. These are images you will cherish for years to come – the little details of those tiny toes, the way they cuddle up close in your arm, those sleepy new yawns.

I am here to serve you – from when you first reach out, to styling, to printing pictures after the session. My desire is to make the process as stress free as possible.

I want you be able to relax knowing you don’t have to figure everything out and to get excited because your session will actually be fun!

What is a newborn lifestyle session?

This is a documentary style session to capture the wonder, emotion and connection of you, your family and your new little one. We let your little one take the lead and capture the intimate moments, itty bitty details and love of this time. Pictures include baby, family, each parent with baby, baby details, nursery etc. It can also be a great time some of your daily routine – making coffee, bath time, etc.

Sessions take place in your home, where everyone feels at the most at ease

Worried your home isn’t “picture perfect”?
Don’t. It doesn’t need to be. I photograph with thoughtful composition and focusing on connection, not clutter.

What to expect during an in home newborn session?

• Full guidance through prep, wardrobe, and what to do with your images
• Access to the client closet

• Don’t worry about your kiddos behavior – we focus is on connection, not perfection
• Access to a curated client closet of dresses for mom and baby
• Get excited for an experience that’s calm, supportive — and actually fun!
• private online gallery of over 60 images
• complimentary print credit to my online gallery store

The full session will take 1-2 hours and take place between 10am-1pm on Tuesdays or Thursdays (limited weekend availability)

Full payment is due by day of session.

Much of what is captured can be done within an hour but I give a good block of time to allow for ease and comfort. If baby gets fussy and needs to eat that will not upset things. More time is always better then less.

Newborn sessions can be scheduled up until your little one is 3 months old. I often suggest within the 10 day -3 week mark just to give you time to feel settled in a bit more and relaxed.

You will receive a gallery full of 50+ digital images within 2-3 weeks after your session. You can print through my professional lab or print at other places you wish.

Newborn Photo Session Pricing – $700

please note: I do not do the studio newborn “posed & propped” photos of the baby. While I don’t do the classic froggy pose or basket props, I do direct and guide during the session to make it comfortable for everyone. I get individual photos of baby and sometimes those need to be in mamas arms. No needless crying or overfed babies here.

Where do I service?

I service the metro OKC area (including Edmond, Yukon, Midwest City, Guthrie, Norman, Arcadia). If you live 30 miles outside of 73013 then a travel surcharge will apply.

**you can have the option to use a local home like studio in OKC for your session, if we chat and your home just isn’t a good option. Week days only and an additional $150 fee**

Add a Maternity Session for $350 – with a booked newborn session

30 minute session with full online gallery – 20+ digital images – can be in-home or outdoor, scheduled between 28 – 34 weeks

What should we wear?
A guide and online styling service are provided for all clients.

Can my session be in studio?

My style of work is focused on in home sessions. As I do feel doing it in your home is very important for the setting of your story! If you want my documentary story type photos but really do not want to use your home, I do have a local house studio that you can use for an additional $150 (studio fee). Weekdays only.

Are you a registered business?
Yes, I am registered and insured under Kauffman Creatives LLC DBA Charis Elisabeth Photography.

My home is Small…I don’t know if it will work?
Yes! A session does not take a lot of space. It’s amazing what all you can do with just one window. A session can take place even just using your bed or couch. I’ll walk through the home to find the best light and also bring a simple light set up with me. You must be comfortable with me moving furniture and things around.

What precautions do you take for sickness?
I am very cautious around newborns (wanting to protect them and their mammas!) and will reschedule if we are sick or feel sickness coming on. I also am happy to mask for families that request it. There is no rescheduling fee if me or my family is ill or if you or your family is ill.

Fresh 48 – $375 with booked newborn session (save $325)

A great way to remember your littles meeting their new siblings, those very very first moments, photos to share the news with the world. These photos are a special turnaround time of sneak peek within 12 hrs and full gallery within 1 week. 45 min – 1 hr session / 30+ digital images

Baby Packages

All packages do require a $200 retainer. Rest of payment is split out before each session. Payment plans can be adjusted.
