Date night is something my husband and I quite enjoy but sometimes you can make all the plans to go out but then wonder what should we do? So I thought it would be fun to put together this list of OKC Date Activities that is springboard for you (& us!).
The Oklahoma City area offers so many amazing opportunities and I love hearing about new things to do. If I am missing something on this list please drop it in the comments below!
11 OKC Date Activities
Try Out A New Cuisine
One thing I love about Oklahoma City is that there are some awesome restaurants of a wide range of ethnic cuisines. Enjoy amazing ramen, or pop into brunch at Cafe Caco or pick up street food from the Turkish food truck.
Drive – In Movie Night
Go pick up take out and a picnic blanket and watch a movie outdoors at one of the drive in movie theaters around the city.
Guthrie Drive In: Beacon – 2404 S. Division Guthrie, Oklahoma 73044
Winchester Drive In: 6930 S Western Ave, Oklahoma City, OK 73139
Take A Class
Want to learn a new skill together or just have something you’ve always been interested in? There’s so many different classes you can get here in the city – Pasta Making at Zero Zero Pasta, Pottery, Glass Blowing.
Food & Plants
I mean there’s not a whole lot better than this combo – eat at the Jones Assembly and then pop in at the Plant People Shop around the corner.
Take A Stroll At Will Rogers Gardens
These beautiful gardens in NW OKC are a delightful way to get some light exercise and enjoy flowers and flora around you.
Breakfast Date
The brunch scene here in OKC is strong and one of my personal favorite date activities. Get a solid classic breakfast at a place like Neighborhood Jam or Syrup, get the thickest pancake at Kitchen 324 or pick up delicious pastries at Harveys (the crowds there can be crazy in on the weekends!) or try a different ethnic breakfast. Cafe Caco and Cafe Antigua definitely have my votes for amazing breakfasts!
Get Dessert At Perets
I love this delightful coffee shop and dessert bar. It also has live music on the weekends. Their seasonal affogatos are always amazing to try!
A Photo Session
You can’t have an OKC photographer writing this post with at least one of the OKC date activities being a photo session. I also believe it’s important to just do photos as a couple. Sometimes in the hour of pausing for photos you can fall in love again and see what an amazing partner you.
Go To Trivia Night Together
A relaxing environment, sip on a drink and lean in for a night of fun together.
Attend The OKC ballet Ar An OKC Thunder Game
I mean these are in season and quite different from each other but as some of the top attractions of OKC these are a definite must do!
Wheeler District
Grab a coffee, munch some tacos and watch the sun set as you ride the ferris wheel in the Wheeler District for A nice chill date idea.
Tea Party Time
There are several amazing places in Oklahoma City where you can get a high tea. What a fun and different activity to do! Check out the Gilded Acorn, Inspirations Tearoom or the monthly event at The Bradford House.
