Grab a hot chocolate, put on the Christmas pajamas and turn up your radio – time to go see those Christmas lights in OKC! As a family photographer I am passionate about making memories together as a family and going to see Christmas lights around the metro area is a highlight during the holiday season in our home. I also love sharing where to go and do things here in the city so enjoy these favorites and tell me what ones to add!

My Tips To Make Christmas Light Viewing More Fun For Everyone….

  • if you are going to a walkable display dress appropraitely – don’t forget hats and gloves, wear layers!
  • if driving put everyone in Christmas pj’s for extra fun
  • Stop by a local coffeeshop and grab drinks for everyone!

Metro Area Park Christmas Lights in OKC

Yukon Christmas in the Park

Cost: Free

Features a magical wonderland of Christmas lights. As Oklahoma’s largest drive-thru Christmas light display, see 5 million twinkling lights and over 500 one-of-a-kind light displays. Guests may also enjoy walking through the lights or, for a small fee, riding the Santa Express Train. Other additional experiences are the Ice Rink, seeing special pop up characters like Santa Returning this year, families can enjoy ice skating at Chisholm Trail Park, with views of the lights.

Automobile Alley

Open daily November 12, 2024 through Jan 3, 2025

Location: Automobile Alley Broadway Ave, NW 4th to 10th, Oklahoma City, OK

Features more than 600,000 colorful LED lights draped along the buildings on North Broadway transforming the street into one beautiful Christmas light display. Open daily, dusk until dawn.

Midwest City Lights Spectacular

Where: Joe B. Barnes Regional Park8700 E. Reno Ave., Midwest City, OK , US

Open December 3-25, 2024 starting 6pm.

The Joe B Barnes Regional Park comes alive with over 100 light displays during the holiday season in a mile long drive.

Scissortail Park & Myriad Garden Lights

These lights are all walkable and make the parks light up. You can also stop and do some ice skating at the Devon skating rink.

Neighborhood Christmas Light Displays in OKC

Nichols Hills (starting at 63rd and Wilshire between Western and May, OKC) is a classic favorite for neighborhood lights in OKC. Stately, beautifully decorated homes make for a great evening of memories.

Other favorite neighborhoods:

  • Heritage Hills (N Walker from NW 13th St to NW 21st St, OKC)
  • Mesta Park (N Western to N Walker near NW 16th St, OKC)

Safari Lights at OKC Zoo

Oklahoma City Zoo holds their annual Safari lights – a drivable and walkable experience from November 9, 2024- January 1, 2025. From their website: “OKC ZOO SAFARI LIGHTS experience begins in the comfort of visitor’s vehicles for a nearly one-mile course through the Zoo to discover themed lantern displays! The Drive-Thru Course ends in the Zoo’s entry parking lot, where guests will re-enter the Zoo for the Walk-Thru experience. Begin your exploration in the Zoo’s entry plaza with a musical light show, then wind through the Children’s Zoo and outside of the Jungle Gym Playground to experience additional animal and classic Christmas lanterns, interactive light exhibits, photo ops and more!”

Coco Cola’s Classic Christmas at Remington Park

This new attraction to OKC looks amazing! Miles of lights, ice skating and classic holiday activities. They share on their website: “Crafted by the creators of the renowned World’s Largest Christmas Light Maze, Enchant Christmas, this immersive holiday celebration promises to create unforgettable moments of togetherness and joy at this beloved time of year. “

Cost: Tickets range from $22 – $35 depending on your entry time.
